THIS MONTH’S FOCUS

Positivity & Emotional Resilience

As we move into May, we invite you to focus on something that strengthens every part of your wellbeing: positivity and emotional resilience. This month, STW Life is exploring the power of mindset, emotional balance, and the daily habits that help us navigate life with greater strength, optimism and grace.

We also encourage you to explore the many benefits of being part of the STW Life community, from expert resources and wellness support to meaningful connections designed to help you thrive.

Let’s make May a month of encouragement, connection, and resilient living.

Resilience Begins with You

Building positivity and resilience isn’t about forcing a good mood — it’s about creating habits that help you recover faster, stay grounded, and keep perspective when life gets messy.

WELLNESS TIP

Two Habits to Build This Month

Move Your Body — Even Briefly

A 10–15 minute walk, stretching, or light workout can significantly boost mood and reduce stress hormones. It’s one of the fastest ways to shift your state.

Train Your Thoughts, Gently

Instead of “Everything is going wrong,” try “This part is hard, but I can handle the next step.”

I love being a member of STW Life because it gives me a place to keep learning, growing, and paying attention to my own well-being in a way that feels positive and doable.

There is so much noise around health, wellness, biohacking, mindset, and personal growth, and I appreciate having a community that brings together trusted resources, expert insight, and real encouragement in one place.

What I probably value most is the energy of the community. It is not about perfection or chasing the next wellness trend. It is about staying curious, learning from people who genuinely care, and being surrounded by others who are also choosing to grow.

For me, STW Life is a reminder that personal growth does not have to be overwhelming. It can be intentional, supportive, and even fun when you have the right people around you.

I work with high-achieving men and women navigating one of life’s most disorienting passages: the moment when a major chapter ends and the next one hasn’t yet begun. A career transition. A loss. A divorce. A reinvention at 50 or 60 that nobody prepared you for.

I speak from earned experience, not theory. I have personally lived through four of these passages — a layoff, a divorce, the loss of my wife Kim to ALS at age 51, and a complete career reinvention. Each one took something from me. Each one gave me something back. That journey is the foundation of everything I do.

WHERE TO BEGIN

Change Is Not the Enemy. Unprocessed Change Is.

Most of us have been conditioned to push through difficulty, stay solution-focused, and get back to full speed as quickly as possible. That instinct serves us well in many areas of life. But in the middle of a genuine transition — the kind that shakes your sense of identity, not just your schedule — that same instinct can work against us.

Flourishing through change is not about resilience as a performance. It is about developing the inner capacity to hold uncertainty without being destroyed by it, and to build something genuinely meaningful on the other side. That is a learnable skill. And May is a powerful time to begin.
